Target SPRS Score Planner

Set the score you need. The planner reads the answers saved by the calculator, finds the fewest unmet requirements to close, and shows the score after each one. Weight-5 requirements break ties; the landing score may be above your target when the remaining weights cannot make the exact number.

How the planner chooses the set

It does not guess a remediation order. It solves an exact bounded search over the weights you actually have left:

  • 5 for an unmet requirement with weight 5.
  • 3 for an unmet weight-3 requirement.
  • 2 for the residual on a partially met 3.5.3 or 3.13.11 (5 − 3).
  • 1 for an unmet weight-1 requirement.

The objective is, in order: fewest controls; then the landing score closest to the target; then more weight-5 requirements, then more weight-3 requirements. It searches the actual counts of each weight that remain in your answers, so it never proposes a control you have already marked met or N/A.

There is no hours or cost model in the calculation. No published estimate is used, so none is shown. The plan optimises points, not effort.

The weights are the v1.2.1 values documented on the method page, checked 2026-10-30.

If 88 is your target. 88 is 0.8 × 110, the ratio in 32 CFR 170.21 for a Conditional Level 2 POA&M. Reaching 88 by this plan does not by itself satisfy that rule: every open requirement must be POA&M-eligible (point value 1, except 3.13.11 at 3), none of the six excluded requirements may be open, and the 0.8 test uses the assessment score, not the landing score.

The POA&M planner applies those checks to the same answers; the score-range page explains why a score in the 88–109 band can still fail the POA&M list rules.

What the plan does not include

It coversIt does not cover
Which unmet requirements recover enough pointsHow many hours or dollars each fix takes — no published estimate is used
The exact score after each selected requirementWhether your evidence for a requirement is sufficient
The fewest controls for a target, within the real weightsWhether a requirement can be on a POA&M — that is 32 CFR 170.21

If you have not answered the calculator yet, every requirement is treated as unmet and the plan starts from -203. Mark your answers there, then press Re-read saved answers.
